What is Rinex?

Rinex is a combination of two medicines: Rifampicin and Isoniazid. It is used in the treatment of tuberculosis. Rifampicin works by inactivating a bacterial enzyme (RNA-polymerase) which is required by tuberculosis bacteria to make essential proteins and reproduce. Isoniazid prevents the tuberculosis causing bacteria from forming their own protective covering. Together, they kill the bacteria and eradicate the infection.
