Please use Melanocyl Solution only as directed by your doctor It is meant for external use only and should be applied to clean and dry affected areas Make sure to wash your hands thoroughly before and after applying the solution To fully benefit from this medicine it should be used regularly Avoid using more than necessary as it will not speed up the healing process and may even increase the risk of side effects If your condition persists for more than four weeks or worsens inform your doctor Keeping the affected areas clean can aid in the effectiveness of this medication Some common side effects may include redness blistering swelling and itching at the site of application If these side effects persist for an extended period consult your doctor Avoid direct contact with your eyes but if it occurs rinse them with water and seek immediate medical attention Burning irritation itching and redness at the application site are the most common side effects It can also increase your skins sensitivity to sunlight so limit sun exposure and use sunscreens and protective clothing for at least 8 hours after using the solution Melanocyl Solution is not suitable for children under the age of 12 Additionally be cautious with certain foods such as limes figs parsley parsnips mustard carrots and celery as they may heighten skin sensitivity to light
