Histacet Cold 5mg/10mg/325mg NF Tablet

Cheston Cold 5mg/10mg/325mg Tablet consists of Cetirizine an antihistamine; Paracetamol/Acetaminophen a pain reliever and fever reducer; and Phenylephrine, a decongestant, is typically used to treat symptoms associated with the common cold, allergies, and sinusitis. These include nasal congestion, pain, fever, and minor aches.

Cetirizine blocks the action of histamine, reducing allergy symptoms like sneezing and runny nose.

Paracetamol/Acetaminophen alleviates pain and reduces fever, working by inhibiting the production of certain chemicals in the brain.

Phenylephrine acts by constricting blood vessels in the nasal passages, easing nasal congestion.

It should be taken orally, following the prescribed dosage guidelines. It can be taken with or without food, but if stomach upset occurs, taking it with food or milk may help.

Possible side effects include drowsiness or sleepiness from cetirizine, mild gastrointestinal disturbances from paracetamol, and increased blood pressure or restlessness from phenylephrine.

It's also important to avoid alcohol, as it can increase certain side effects.

If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it's nearly time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule. Do not double the dose.
