Zoxan Eye Ointment should only be used externally Follow your doctors instructions regarding the dosage and duration of use Hold the dropper near your eye making sure not to touch it Gently squeeze the dropper and place the medication inside your lower eyelid Remove any excess liquid Be sure to take all doses as prescribed and complete the entire course of treatment even if you start to feel better After application you may experience a burning sensation or discomfort in your eyes These side effects are temporary and usually resolve on their own If they persist for an extended period inform your doctor Initially the ointment may cause temporary blurred vision Use caution when driving or operating machinery Refrain from wearing contact lenses while using the ointment
