Can the use of Vicox 2E Plus cause discoloration of the urine?
Yes, Vicox 2E Plus contains rifampicin which can cause temporary discoloration of your teeth, sweat, urine, saliva, and tears (red, orange, or brown color). This side effect is usually not harmful. However, discoloration of urine can be a sign of liver damage. Call your doctor if you have discoloration of urine with stomach pain, loss of appetite, and jaundice (yellowing of your skin or eyes).
Can I discontinue Vicox 2E Plus if I feel well?
No, do not discontinue Vicox 2E Plus. Take the proper course of the drug that has been prescribed to you even if you begin to feel better. If you stop taking Vicox 2E Plus, your infection may become worse and difficult to treat. It may even result in drug-resistant TB i.e. drugs you were taking may no longer work for Tuberculosis.
