NG Cef 500mg Injection contains Ceftriaxone belongs to the class of cephalosporin antibiotics and is primarily used to treat various bacterial infections, including severe conditions like E coli, pneumonia, or meningitis.  Additionally, It is employed to prevent infections in individuals undergoing certain types of surgery.

Ceftriaxone, being a potent antibiotic, works by inhibiting the growth of bacteria responsible for causing infections. Its mechanism involves interfering with the bacteria's ability to form cell walls, leading to their destruction and eventual elimination from the body.

The medicine should be used exactly as directed, and patients are advised to follow all instructions provided.

Common side effects may include symptoms of a blood cell disorder, diarrhea, vaginal itching or discharge, warmth, a tight feeling, or a hard lump at the injection site, rash, or abnormal liver function tests.
