Minesse Tablet can be taken with or without food but it is advisable to take it at the same time each day in order to derive maximum benefit from it It is important to follow your doctors advice regarding its usage The pill should be started on the first day of your menstrual cycle and continued for the entire month Once the pack is finished a new pack should be started If you vomit within 4 hours of taking a dose it is recommended to take another tablet It may take your body up to 7 days to adjust to the medication so it is advisable to use a condom during the first week to prevent pregnancy If you miss a dose and are more than 12 hours late in taking it it is advised to use a condom during intercourse for a period of 2 days Commonly observed side effects of this medicine include nausea stomach pain headache breast pain and weight gain If these side effects bother you or are severe it is important to inform your doctor as there may be ways to reduce or prevent them Spotting or bleeding between menstrual periods or missed periods may also occur If this happens frequently or persists for a longer duration consult your doctor It is important to inform your doctor if you notice swelling and pain in your limbs shortness of breath chest pain or changes in vision as these may be signs of a blood clot Prior to taking this medicine inform your doctor if you smoke and are over 35 years old or if you have ever had a heart attack or have cancer of the uterus cervix or vagina Your doctor should also be aware of all other medications you are taking as some of them may reduce the effectiveness or alter the way this medicine works Pregnant women and breastfeeding mothers should not take this medicine Regular blood tests and breast examinations may be required while on this treatment
