Introduction to Godde 5mg Tablet

Godde 5mg Tablet is prescribed as part of a comprehensive approach to managing type 2 diabetes. In conjunction with diet and exercise, and sometimes other medications, it helps regulate blood sugar levels.

It belongs to the sulfonylureas class, stimulating insulin production from the pancreas and improving insulin efficiency.

It's crucial to note that it is not intended for treating type 1 diabetes or diabetic ketoacidosis.

The regular tablet is usually taken one or more times a day, 30 minutes before meals.

Serious side effects like yellowing of the skin, unusual bleeding, or fever should be reported promptly.

Adhering to a consistent schedule and dosage, as directed by your healthcare provider, is essential. Starting with a low dose, your doctor may adjust it over time for optimal blood sugar control.

Before taking Glipizide, inform your doctor about any allergies, medications (prescription, non-prescription, vitamins, and herbal products), and existing health conditions, especially G6PD deficiency, hormonal disorders, or heart, kidney, and liver disease.

In case of overdose, contact the poison control helpline. Symptoms may include hypoglycemia symptoms, seizures, or loss of consciousness.

If you missed a regular dose, it's advisable to take it as soon as you remember. However, if it's almost time for the next scheduled dose, it's better to skip the missed one and continue with the regular dosing. Doubling up on doses to make up for a missed one should be avoided.
