Akurit 3 Tablet 10s

Introduction

Akurit 3 Tablet is a medicine that treats tuberculosis by inhibiting the growth of the microorganisms responsible for the infection. Akurit 3 Tablet contains a combination of three drugs namely, Rifampicin, Ethambutol and Isoniazid. These drugs either prevent the cell wall formation or inhibit the growth of bacteria, ultimately killing the bacteria and preventing its multiplication.

This tablet should be taken orally and as advised by the doctor. It is recommended to take the tablet on an empty stomach at a consistent time for optimal efficacy. Some common side effects like nausea, vomiting, fever, dark urine, sweating, and increased salivation can be experienced. 

The medicine may take some time to show its effects but consult your doctor if the condition does not improve. It is important to complete the course of treatment even if you start feeling better as sudden discontinuation of the medicine can reduce its effectiveness. Inform your doctor about any other medications you are taking for different a health condition. Patients with liver or kidney disorders should use this medicine with caution. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should also seek advice from their doctor before taking the medicine.

--Hepatotoxicity, nausea, vomiting, anorexia, diarrhoea, jaundice, visual disturbances, joint pain, flu-like syndrome, thrombocytopenia, purpura, haemolytic anaemia, acute renal failure, gout, hyperuricemia, orange-red discolouration of body fluids, hypersensitivity reactions, fever, rashes, urticaria, eosinophilia, thrombocytopenia, acute hemolytic anemia, acute renal failure
