RotaTeq Oral Vaccine

This medication is designed to prevent diarrhea caused by rotavirus It works by introducing a weakened form of rotavirus into the body which stimulates the immune system to create antibodies These antibodies then protect against rotavirus infection thus preventing diarrhea To take this medication it should be consumed orally as part of a 3dose regimen Each dose should be administered 4 weeks apart starting at 6 weeks of age It can be taken with or without food It is important to follow the prescribed dose and schedule as advised by your doctor Additionally it is recommended to stay hydrated by drinking plenty of fluids while taking the vaccine
