Prabcox 250mg Tablet is prescribed along with other tuberculosis medicines when the bacteria have become resistant to other antibacterial drugs The dosage and duration of this medication should be followed as per your doctors instructions It can be taken with or without food preferably at the same time every day It is important not to miss any doses and complete the full course of treatment even if you start feeling better Stopping the medication early can lead to treatment failure and the development of drugresistant tuberculosis which can result in serious health complications If you happen to miss a dose take it as soon as possible However if it is almost time for your next dose skip the missed one and continue with your regular dosing schedule Do not take a double dose to compensate for the missed one as it can increase the risk of side effects Some common side effects of this medicine may include loss of appetite nausea vomiting gastric irritation inflammation of the stomach lining and sudden low blood pressure upon standing orthostatic hypotension If you experience any of these side effects and they are concerning you or not improving please consult your doctor Inform your doctor if you have diabetes as this medication can lower your blood sugar levels If you are diabetic make sure to monitor your blood sugar regularly Your doctor may also monitor your liver function vision and thyroid function while you are on this treatment Pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before using this medication
