What is Leetrexate?

Leetrexate is a medication used to treat certain types of cancer, severe rheumatoid arthritis, severe psoriasis, and polyarticular juvenile idiopathic arthritis. It works by inhibiting dihydrofolate reductase, an enzyme necessary for DNA synthesis, repair, and replication. This action targets rapidly dividing cells, such as cancer cells and cells involved in autoimmune conditions.
